MONTRANS Supports Fleet Management of All Manufacturers

The Mechanized Column-12 specializes in building railway tracks and roads in Moscow and the Moscow region. Its fleet comprises over 70 vehicles, among them trucks, excavators, loaders, buses, and others. Before using digital fleet management fuel was sold at inflated standards. There was also a history of fuel drains. Thus, The Mechanized Column-12 suffered heavy losses.

"Several times they somehow managed to steal 1,5 tons. Now we are using digital fleet management, we control everything through the app. Very convenient. I observe the equipment from home and come here only for installation. For example, recently the fuel level sensor has been replaced, I checked it in the app. It showed information about the vehicle. Everything is working properly! Drivers didn’t like the idea of fleet management. They had additional income from fuel drains. Earlier drivers refueled the assigned amount and called supervisors for more, but now it’s not necessary. Supervisors know how much vehicles consume. We started implementing fleet management 4 years ago. First, we tried the solution of another manufacturer, but it didn’t suit. Our partnership with MONTRANS began a year ago and, in my view, it is perfect,” explains Alexander Chashchin, GLONASS-GPS monitoring technician of MC-12.

Service support of fleet management is one of the key areas of MONTRANS. For customers, its speed and quality mean time and money. The MONTRANS customer service once got a notification from MC-12. Fleet management data on its vehicles was not shown on the cloud platform. The request was received on December, 7 at 9 a.m., and on December, 9 at 10 a.m. the act of the performed works was signed.

"We are constantly upgrading our service. Every detail has its value — from a call in the call-centre to sending reports to customers. The work of the technical department in MONTRANS is fully automated — all incoming requests are recorded in the application management system, where they are assigned to one of the employees. They see all the scheduled events in their mobile app. I should mention, that automation implies not only recording and distributing the requests; the customer also has an app, which can provide information on the performance of any kind of work. Besides, a client may approve it online. By the way, before asking customers to sign the work order, we verify all the completed work: service managers check the incoming data online for validity, look through the photo report (it is also available to customers), and perform the final configuration of the system. After customers confirm that the work is done, the system creates reporting documents and sends them to the addressee through the electronic document management system. Having introduced this application management system, we improved the quality and speed of services and reduced the costs associated with processing applications from customers and sending reporting documents. Soon MONTRANS is going to use artificial intelligence for assigning performers and setting date and time of work,” Igor Yershov, head of the technical department of MONTRANS.
