Stanislav Emelyanov, Managing Partner of MONTRANS Group of Companies:
Fuel consumption is really affected by many factors: vehicle aerodynamics, tire pressure, headwinds and weather conditions, road surface, driver's driving style, and engine condition.
Modern telemetry, “smart devices” tell the driver about tire pressure, about sudden acceleration or braking, show the dynamics of instantaneous average fuel consumption and many other things, which, of course, tells the driver how to drive correctly, with optimal fuel consumption. Unmanned cars are our near future. A robot has no human factor, it has no emotions and does not get tired, so fuel consumption will be as optimal as possible on a robotic vehicle.
